Aaron John
Aaron John (Dine) is from Fort Defiance, AZ and has been making jewelry since he was in high school. Largely self-taught, Aaron created his designs during down time when he was working in the coalmine. After 22 years as a coalminer, Aaron retired to pursue his craft and has shown at the Nizhoni Art Market, the Heard Museum Show, the Autry Museum, the Cherokee Market and the Santa Fe Indian Market.
Often depicting scenes of life on the reservation in his work, Aaron occasionally injects a bit of whimsy into his designs, reflecting his teen-age preoccupation with cartooning instead of English and Algebra. His work combines traditional elements and material with slightly abstracted and stylized designs.
Aaron lives with his wife, Kendall and their four children on the Navajo Reservation where he also has his studio.Sorry, there are no products in this collection
